I'm trying to buy a good (around £100) bottle of wine, but the only place I can find that does that sort of stuff is the wine society but there's a minimum order of 6 bottles. So is there anywhere, in Hertfordshire preferably that will sell me a single bottle?
cheers

Will the Wine Society not sell single bottles if you go to their warehouse in Stevenage?

Their website says that it's all kept in a warehouse in London and transported in a temperature controlled van so it's a minimum of 6, unless the place in Stevenage is their 'london' warehouse, I have to confess I haven't been there.

Nope. They sell to members only, but do have a shop at the Stevenage warehouse.

Berry Brothers are good for single bottles of that sort of thing though, but aren't usually the cheapest.

If you're after something specific, might be worth having a look at some of the merchants listed on Wine-Searcher.com

If you are in London there are a couple of shops called 'Planet of Grapes'. I'd check those out and also the humble Majestic might have some high end stuff?

Wow - nice choice, and not an obvious one either.

If it's a gift for a wino, they should be really pleased with it.

Yes, but still trades independently from Majestic as a fine wine merchant.
