I'm having a software refresh very soon and would like to retain the data I lost last time
So what files to I need to backup to retain my IE favourites and Outlook Express contacts and emails?

TIA.

Outlook Express Contacts need to be exported to a CSV file
Outlook Express Folders. Go to Tools - Options - Maintenance - Store Folder - this will tell you the location of the files

Favorites. Go to Internet Explorer, Favorites, Organize favorites. Then right click on a folder and choose properties.

Thanks guys - I'm pretty sure I have cracked it. Exported IE favourites to a .htm file, exported Outlook contacts to a .csv file and relocated the mail folders.

Fingers crossed
