Racing Green Poly Bushes

Afternoon all,

I'm looking to change the bushes on the wishbones as some are worn, before deciding on what to replace them with does anyone have any experience of the Racing Green poly bushes?

I recently had my front bushes replaced with poly ones, though I don't think they came from RG. As I understand they are better than the rubber ones, but I believe they need to be greased on installation to prevent squeaking.

Mate replaced his rubbers with Poly Flex bushes thinking it was an upgrade, after a trip to Centre of Gravity, they are back to Rubber Bushes. The Polys were causing issues, just a word of warning

I fitted Supaflex on my chim 5 years ago, track it all the time and never an issue.

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated as I'm installing RG poly bushes this weekend.

What make bushes are the RG ones?

Poly Bushes are great for track use.

For road use not so good, squeak even after light greasing

very harsh on normal roads for suspension travel movement, does not give as the suspension was designed.

Also far more likely have a chassis write off with poly bushes as they are one of the main factors in damage to suspension pick up due the shape of them. (told that by insurance engineer back in the late '90's)

for all round driving the normal bushes are the best as they were designed for the purpose.

Cant fault my poly bushes, (Supaflex). No squeekes and i wouldnt fit anything else.

I fitted the polybushes at front in 2011 to my T350c and I am still running the car.

It runs excellent, very precise and after using spacers in the past, I drive without spacers since using the polys. After renewing the shocks (still using standard Bilstein shocks from TVR Power) the car has perfect GT handling which allows very high speeds an German autobahn without any stress on longer trips!

Handling is not rough or hard as often feared. I can fully recommend using these poly bushes.

sorry I can't agree with that at all

if proper poly urethane bushes are fitted and I mean the ones which are the same or similar shore hardness as the rubber items and not the solid nylon type, then you'll usually improve the suspension performance through reduced friction and better durability with temperature

I'll not deny that cack handedness on assembly can damage things but then you could say the same about anything
some people could set themselves on fire doing the washing up

with the correct product and correct fitting poly urethane bushes are a plus
