Finally got the paintwork fixed from the scrape with DHL last year, just in time for it to need it's MOT. As it was with RSC Body Craft, the nice chap took it over to Taylor TVR for an MOT. Unfortunately it failed rather badly on emissions, and at the same time ruptured the coolant header tank all over the garage floor. The engine felt like it needed a bit of tuning anyway so opted to have a 12K service as it was due for a 6K anyway and I think the tappets need some TLC after the engine rebuild. Asked them to look around for anything else... Radiator is leaking, drive shaft boots need replacing, and one of the spark plug leads had been repaired with masking tape! So getting all that done too... And a new set of cats. This surprised me as it hasn't done that many miles since the last MOT and I asked them to leave the cats on after instead of the de-cats. So asked Dan to check the emissions after the service to make sure, he said he could do but it wouldn't make any difference as there is nothing in the cats, straight through pipes. Check the de-cats in the shed, they're not de-cats, doh!
