Took my wedge for its MOT today and again it flew through with no issues at all, even passed its emissions test smile

Disappointing thing is that I have only managed the meager amount of 802 miles sine the last one frown. Need to get that part addressed and quickly !!!!!!!!

In June 2012 the MOT guy shredded my handbrake pads on his rolling road (they were brand new and the calipers just rebuilt) - but he passed it. He's since retired to Spain.

The day after, Nursy and I were up on the NY Moors when the brakes failed on Danby bank: one of the rebuilt calipers had seized again banghead and fried the pads.
When I got underneath to strip the brakes again I resigned myself to a full rear-end overhaul (I'd done sweet F-A to it in 12 years) and one thing has led to another. I reckon I may as well have lifted the shell off; I did consider it but thought it'd only be off the road a couple of weeks.... banghead
I think this summer will have been and gone before it's finished but come next year... drivingwavey

My Chimaera has done 1700 miles......this month. And that's without doing any long trips abroad or whatever. Two track days, a group drive around Norfolk and so on. And no, it's not my daily driver. 7000 miles since the middle of April.

No wonder the only wedge I have seen moving in the last year was Geoff's, and that was on a track day at Bedford. Shame.

Thunder in the Tunnels, 28 September, start Ace Cafe, 0600, end East London 0900, followed by an optional trip to Brands Hatch for a day's historic and classic racing.

Be there or be wedge-shaped. driving

The rusty nail run is the only way to go. I put the majority of the miles on the wedge on that bad boy

Wait until you add up this years mileage Bryan, the Nail run is going to be approx 300 mile alone sucking up all that cold air.

About 5k miles per year, no car benefits from sitting for weeks on end unused. Also, I think I might have an addiction problem, I get a bit tetchy after a few days without exposure to a V8 of some variety, even if for only 20 miles or so.

In a fairer world, there would be an NHS prescription for my addiction.
