Dedra SOTW update

THought I would jot down whats been happening with my Dedra SOTW purchase;

Had the car for nigh on two weeks now. Driving is a hoot, pulls like a train in all gears.
Had a chance to go over the Dedra thoroughly;
the suspension is a mash up, its fairly easy to tell what has happened, the 17 wheels were put on, at which point it would have looked as tall as a 4x4, so the springs were cut, once the springs were cut the holes in the strut towers were obviously a bit too wide so out came the mig welder to stop any play. It just sailed through the MOT so its not too urgent.
AM thinking to going back to 14 inch wheels and starting again, new springs, struts, etc. Now to find a set of rims that suit the dedra lines... any suggestions gratefully accepted. Once the new wheels are on it will be time to look at the ride height/ stance etc.
A couple of the exhaust hangars are loose and need re-tightening.
Apparently the Delta integrale engine and gearbox is a straight drop in.....

I'm sure I have a front strut brace (somewhere in the garage) for a Tempra that could fit. You're welcome to that, never been used but in north London. Was a pipe dream to fit it myself, a project that was reversed into a telegraph pole and terminated...lovely car...
