Well after going to Donington this evening for a track event there was 2 spyders there.. We waited by one of them for some time but he never showed...shame as there was 5GT3 boys that wanted to say hello?

I did see one of the cars on circuit.....

too many red flags tonight and another reason I tend not to do so many, must have been 5 or so which is not acceptable.

I've met Mr Demon a couple of times at Donington and he seems a nice chap to me.

Any car carrying any sort of speed needs to be on the brakes before the position that Spyder is if it wants to make that corner.
Is that selective editing or just a simple case of the strobe effect of the more modern lights?

I brake when the nose of my cars hits the point of the blue bit, a good cars length later than the GT3 in question, I seem to make said corner every time.

That's what I went to see in person after the other thread went a bit pete tong after I said how can a GT3 going faster down the straight out brake a lighter slower car.
I dare to question how, all I got was abuse, it was a bit sad imo.

I still state the GT3 is the faster car and the better track car, my question was always about braking, I also stated that's where I seem to gain on GT3's when I do track days, even though I cannot do the same laps times as one driven well, I still seem to catch them up under brakes.

Sorry I did not come and say hi to any one, but when you have a large group of 996 GT3 owners all waiting by your car to "say hi" my other half said "you are not going back to the car" lol.

I am 100% into tech and learning about set ups etc and how to make a car faster and handle better, I did 5 years with track speced up Lotus cars on 3 ways shocks learning how to ajust the sus to best effect, it was quite fun.

I still have an issue with my braking question to which I get called a Troll and take loads of abuse.
tonight if anything shows what I think to still be correct, and I don't see how a GT3 can brake later after tonight.
I want to be proved wrong, you learn more and remember more if you are wrong. but I did not see any real life driving to say other wise atm my question still stands ;-)

You do seem to have studied the literature well but, in the face of some considerable experienced opinion, you still argue the contrary to popular practical knowledge. It seems a little empty...

I thought that was quite impressive.

this is interesting. can you be clear about what you are talking about and carrying over from the other thread please. it always appeared to concern out braking however this third point does not. are you attempting to introduce doubt that it may have been about simple braking points?

the boxster appears to be no closer to the GT3 in the second picture than it was in the first. speed=distance/time. i trust the importance of this is understood.

it's very late I need to think about it more, regarding braking points and out braking.

forget the pictures, the pics are on different laps, the pics are confusing the issue, they are there to just show braking points. it just so happened a Spyder was on track and I choose to post that as it's the car I also own.

pic one is the GT3 at full speed, the Spyder let off the gas and let the GT3 past late on in the straight, hence the Spyder is to the right a bit and is going quite a bit slower at that point.

pic two is the next lap, the GT3 got past the spyder onto the straight this time, (I think 1.30 in mikes vid) so the Spyder in pic 2 is at full speed this time his braking point is later than the GT3 in the 1st pic.

that's all the pictures are for, simple braking points, nothing else, ;-) night night, I am super busy tomorrow, but I now need data logging to understand it I think as I am confused atm.

can the spyder outbrake the GT3 because he is braking 8 meters later ? no idea my brain has fried.

Get your car out on circuit and let's see you catch mine under braking zones what a joke. Not even got the balls to come over and say anything, a typical armchair Internet warrior!

I am at Spa in October if you fancy a real circuit to show me how your spyder or cayman is better than a GT3?

GT3 would kill the cars at Spa, and I have never stated other wise, or said the Spyder is better on track !!!
my cars give out over bigger bhp cars, over 90mph the GT3 just pulls away and then keeps pulling away.
Spa has to be the best track for a GT3, but I would still like to do it in my car.

the old tyres excuse, sweet I did like that one though.

I have 15 or so laps of you braking in the same place, it matters not what you were doing with the Spyder for 2 laps.

as for internet warrior ? we have chatted on the phone about making my GT3 more road friendly a few times and met before at other track days more than once and chatted. Just because I did not want to chat to the GT3 posse tonight means nothing.

You started the thread and it has my name on it, who's the internet warrior ? , what was the thread trying to show ? or the vid ?
I bet the Spyder owner thought you were a bit mental !!!!
