Hi..Newbie to the Forum..

Has anyone heard of a company called Intermediate Finance plc (Deal in car transportation, storage, delivery, finance etc)

I saw a Audi on sale on the Autotrader website this week and left a voicemail for the seller. The lady responded via text and asked me to email her as she was abroad.

I have had email conversations with her and it transpires that she has moved to Germany due to a job and has left the vehicle with Intermediate Finance plc who will handle the sale on her behalf once we have agreed a price.
She has even sent me many picture of the vehicle and a RAC HPI report which was done a few weeks ago.

I have tried phoning this company a few times to discuss this but now answer, however they are happy to have a discussion on email and refuse to phone me...ALARM BELLS STRAIGHTAWAY!

Initially they advised that either I could collect the vehicle form the depot based in Berwick Upon Tweed or pay in advance and have the vehicle delivered direct to me in 2 days. Now I would never buy a car without viewing it first so requested payment on collection, surprise surprise the company have now suggested I wait until Sept for a "group viewing".

I have looked into the company and nothing further exists although it is listed on companies house.

Had a seller arrange a group viewing before, without telling me, in an effort to play interested parties off against each other. If I want that, i'll go to an auction thanks.

I had a suspicion the other 'viewers' were really his mates anyway.

Walk away. Let the woman know how badly its being handled, as it could be genuine.

Isn't it strange how the car is located a surprisingly long way away from you. scratchchin

There will always be another car, walk away.

Hi please do not entertain these people unfortunately I have just lost a lot of money on a car that I didn't receive. The web site looks so good and they are so professional in the way they operate. They fooled me....frown

There's loads of these on Autotrader. They're always nice cars 30% cheaper than what they should be. The owner is always overseas - i.e. oil rig, or on a ship or the like. They don't have a car to sell you I'm 100% sure of that.

RUN!

Perhaps I'm sceptical but if something is dirt cheap and the owner is overseas surely that's just a major no-no?!

Walk away, unless this was a super special car but it's really not.
