Finally my shares are coming good. How does everyone else see the ceiling in the next 12 months or so?

I've made a small profit on Lloyds and hope they continue to rise. A lot will depend on any dividend announcements. My guess is that if HMG sell some of their shares, Lloyds announce decent pre-tax profits for the year end and a dividend payment in 2014, then the shares could hit £1 next year.

I lost my arse when i foolishly bought some just as the banking crisis was announced and G. Brown persuauded them to buy RBS.

I have bought more since and wiil hang onto them. If they reach £2,i will be back in the black, i can dream!

I bought a 1000 shares in each of the 4 main banks two years ago, some are just making a profit others have done quite well.

Thought the proposed sell off price was around 62p>
Sold mine before then unfortunately

I have my own form of contrarian buying % selling
It's always a good time to buy when I'm selling

Just checked mine I bought a 1000 on the 8/6/2011 for £502 they are now worth £738. At the same time bought 2000 RBS which are now only 200 in quantity but still not doing well. Both the Barclays and HSBC have done rather well in particular the dividends

I bought some of these at around 24p (and a few more when they dropped a bit lower from memory)

Ended up getting nervous and selling at just over 40p. Not a bad profit, but should have kept hold of them! (Hindsight is a wonderful thing)

£160 Billion market cap? Would genuinely be interested to hear how you came up with that number.

If they do a 3 for 1 share consolidation tomorrow, then I can see them getting to 220p. Otherwise, I don't see how they can ever have that sort of share price.

Spot on, that would be some market cap for LBG! Perhaps I'm just bitter having sold out too early on this one :-)
