Wheel alignment

Hi,

Currently searching for a 997.

is it worth bying from an opc?

how good is the 111 point check and whatndoes it cover?

Is wheel alignment part of porsche used approved preparation service?

It's worth buying from an OPC for their two year warranty.

I'd get the wheel alignment done again at a specialist after you buy though.

Hi, yes the wheel alignment is supposed to be done as part of the 111 point check.

But unfortunately, from my experience, alignments done by OPCs are so far from the 'perfect' print-outs they give you that the cars handle dreadfully and tyre wear is all over the place. Whether this is down to poorly maintained equipment, operators who don't fully understand the equipment, or just the need to rush everything, I'm not quite sure. Whatever the reason, FFS get a proper, custom (i.e. done with your requirements/abilities as a driver in mind) alignment after you buy!

Where to go? Center Gravity has done amazing work for me. Mike at S&C (above) also has something of a reputation for getting alignments right - when he's not dissing Chris at CG! (Very poor form, IMHO). There are several other Porsche specialists that will do the job right for you too.
