Camping in the Dales. Where?
Discussion
Very few places is the easy answer! I wanted to do this ages ago - got nowhere.
For an official site you can't go wrong with Masons at Appletreewick. Great location on banks of the wharf. Half hour walk to Burnsall. 5 minute walk to my local (The Craven Arms, Appletreewick).
Worth a look.

Yep this is a good shout if I'm honest, we just turned up and it was fine albeit a deposit was needed and it's not like we carried £90 cash or what ever it was for a deposit, which meant to we had to be silent by 9pm or something..For an official site you can't go wrong with Masons at Appletreewick. Last 3 times I went, back to the dales (spent 3 years living in Long preston - almost on the lancs border), I camped - 2 miles north of settle, so I could eat at the brilliant cuury house (bring your own beer ... no licence), Malham, near the cove....s
