I should finally finish building me new engine tomorrow - hope so...its got to go in on Sunday finished or not. Can anywone here point me in the direction of a complete torque setting list for the ol' V8? Cheers.

Also...while its out I plan to:
Re-paint the chassis bits I can't normally get to
Replace the brake pipe that burst two weeks back
Put my steering wheel on straight which I put back wonky after replacing the rack seals two weeks back
Replace heat-shielding
May get round to fitting my 888/887 calipers and pads...may leave it till winter.

Am I missing anything?

So, day 1.5 (15 hours) later and the engine is out, chassis prepped and welded, treated and painted. The new heatshielding is on. The steering wheel is on straight again. The brass brake line has been replaced (far side front). The new engine is together. So all I really need to do today is slot the new lump in. How hard can it be (!!!??).

Sorry for the lack of photos, I'm doing all this from a blackberry.

I did that a whilw ago changing them for braided hoses.

A warning to all...it was the vibrating braided hose rubbing against the fuel line that eventually wore through it causing the leak! Ill post a picture when back home.
