Guys and gals - needs some help pls. Whilst I love my XFR I need more power in my life so am considering an XFR-S, an E63 or an RS6. You will note the common theme (4 doors etc) but that's my thing...

The RS6 is a wagon only and I don't need the extra space but I have a yearning for a V10 and so am also looking at the previous model RS6 Plus.

I know they only made 500 of them but very few seem to come on to the market. I know of one on Autotrader but if anyone knows of any others or comes across one, please let me know.

Thanks

V10 : been there, done that : don't like the gearbox.

As far as the current M5 is concerned, I just don't like it........

If I had the means I'd have the new RS6 V8 TT. The stats on that thing are another level.

The V10 RS6 with a DMS remap won't be a slouch with 700bhp - and they do come in a saloon - unless Ive read your post incorrectly.

Odd though it sounds, I really fancy a V10. The current RS6 is definitely a contender but the estate format just doesn't appeal.

But I agree that it is quick....

I absolutely love the RS6, would prefer an M5 personally, but its tit-for-tat in almost every way with them in my book. Can't see you getting more bang for your buck than either of those!

Considered a V12 instead of a V10? - Porsche Panamera/Merc S63/BMW 760i?

Haven't really considered a V12. Maybe I should... S class would be too big for me - as would the 7 series. The Panamera is too ugly imo !!!

Have you considered the new Holden VXR8, big 4 door car, and probably going to be quite a rare site on the roads, only a V8 tho is the down side.

Have been going around in similar circles for the last 3 months but after revisiting the fact that I live in the country and the roads are generally rubbish I've decided on a 5.0 SC Range Rover. Not a bad all rounder.

The RS6 V10 with remap gets my vote. 700BHP is mental.

Would also consider C63 as I think they look and sound great.

If you like the RS6 V8, but don't want the estate, what about the RS7? That's effectively replaced the Saloon this time around.

Hi - I had a C63 before the Jag and I agree they are great cars and I wouldn't say no to another one, except I would prefer an E63 if I was going back down the AMG route. I am not in any hurry, and I'm going to see if I can find an RS6 V10 Plus as that is currently on the top of my list. Trouble is there are very few around... If in a couple of months time, I'm still looking then I will look at other options, including the RS7...

That battle ship grey RS7 they had at Goodwood was awesome.

Torn between an RS6 and an M6 gran coupe. Latter is bonkers and a stunning piece of design but expensive. Former is an estate but a great drive... Will decide in the next week or so.

Just to put a spanner in the works, have you considered the Aston Rapide, You have a good engine, 4 doors and the status, Also there are a few Audi RS6 V10 Saloons on auto trader. Good luck with your searching. smile

Chevy camaro? Only a V8, but 6.something litres, rare as rocking horse st and so much presence on the road!

VW Phaeton. Think they did one with a W16 engine out of the Conti GT! Pretty sure there was a V10 one too, but I might be making that up!

Yes they did a v10 but it is a diesel with massive amounts of torque!, I have been in the v6 and that was quite quick and the w12 is supposed to be really rapid but limo like.
