I have an '87 Wedge (350i) with the driving lights in the front spoiler. Using headlight flash on the column stalk(dip/main/indicators), the driving lights will come on and flash OK , I also get the amber light in the 'headlight' switch on the centre console. (My headlights do not 'pop-up' which I think was only the early cars.) Can I turn the driving lights on for normal driving, or are they only intended for 'flash' mode?? The aforementioned 'headlight' switch on the console, apart from the amber light on flash, appears inoperative.....................

Mine come on with the high beam and the flash, my headlights do not rise for a flash either. Is that the same as yours??

Driving lights should only be with the highbeam, I guess you would need to change them to fogs and change the wiring if you wanted them different

On my SEAC when flashing the lights the spots flash or when the lights are on then they come on with full beam.
When the lights are down the head lights also come on in the pods too.
i had a auto spark to tweek my lights as when i went to sides the pots use to come up and the head lights came on dim, now the sides come on the pods stay down untill the lights come on to dip just the way i want them.
The spots should only come on fill time with full beam

One of those TVR inconsistencies again?

My 1987 350i headlights would pop up when flashed....

My headlamps have to be in the up position to flash. As for the driving lamps i thought they were fogs? They are taped over and covered by caps so i dont know if they flash.

All sorted now. Auxiliary lights are 'driving lights', they only come on with high beam if switched on. They also act as the 'headlight flash' function, hence tied in with the high beam selection on the column stalk.
Thanks for all your inputs.

Trevor, you may find that operating the headlight flash will also flash the headlights but not pop them up.
