I seem to remember seeing a thread some time ago about a slightly offset y shaped ally or stainless hose/tube to enable 2 air filters to be fitted in front of the radiator but still retain the standard Induction layout. Now I'm thinking about a bit of experimentation I can't find the sodding post ! Any pointers would (as ever) be much appreciated.

Thanks mate, that's the kiddy. Don't know if anyone's tried it though, just thinking that getting more air in might help (accepting that I still need to do other induction mods to get any real improvement (uprated AFM, enlarged plenum, ported base & trumpets, ported inlet manifold & heads etc.). These lists never seem to get any bloody shorter do they ?

I can't see how that will allow more air in as the filters are smaller and it goes into the same size pipe

Thanks chaps, wasn't thinking of using the pictured filters though, just double up on what I've already got. Plus I like shiny things too !!!

Would it work by sticking the air filter on the end of the plenum and sticking it in asealed box then use the induction pipe to feed it .

Yes, but there isn't enough room and you will suffer from heat soak

Just rotate the 90 degree Plenum to AFM elbow clockwise by 1/4 turn and cut a hole in the bonnet - loads of cool air then...

If I had a Griff I'd seriously consider running the induction hose horizontally from where it leaves the plenum (or airbox in my case) to the point where it would then exit the bonnet and have a scoop type arrangement with big filter and heat shield arrangement under smile
