Just bought an E92 M3
Discussion
Picking it up Monday.
Regarding the manual vs DCT debate, I tried both, and while the DCT is massively impressive, and no doubt much faster, I just enjoyed driving the manual more, so chose the 3 pedal option
Has all the extras I was after, including EDC
and the previous owner had fitted a schnitzer exhaust, while I'm not convinced by the style, it sounds fantastic!

The only thing I don't like is it has some weird fake wood trim, so will be replacing that at some point...
Can't wait to pick it up though

Good luck, I'm sure you'll love it and good choice on getting the three pedal option.
I strongly recommend the gearstick from the US only F10 M5, really improved the greachange.

No, I think that's just the one they fit to any M Sport 5 series. The M5 version lights up in the same way as that fitted to the M3. The part no. is 25112284205, although the price is the same. I ordered it from my local dealer and it only took a few days to come from Germany.
Have a look at this thread on M3Post.com for some background info. Not difficult to do as long as you're methodical and take your time.

Thanks for posting this info up, I also think the stock M3 gearknob is a poor effort & this is definitely the way forward. Have a look at this thread on M3Post.com for some background info. Not difficult to do as long as you're methodical and take your time.

Well, picked it up this morning, and managed to go through half a tank of fuel (24mpg is better than I expected)...
Initial thoughts, all very positive, glad I went for a manual, love the schnitzer exhaust, gives it a proper NASCAR soundtrack...
And pressing on, what can I say, it's been a little while since I've had a quick car, but fortunate enough to still get to drive some now and again, but flooring it in 2nd gear all the way to 8000rpm, it's stonking, I couldn't believe how quickly it accelerates!!!
