You're right, probably not be as quick as a Cayman R, but sure as hell will be quicker than a gt3

Ive thought about a Turbo but don't do track days and mine is fast enough for me for safe road driving. Beautiful cars, with a very strong engine which is my cars weakness (2003 996 C4S). However, for less than the cost to change I can future proof mine and still have change £......

Had mine for almost 12 months, love it and it's great but I feel the urge to try something else, maybe a 964 C2 or C4. Tell me, is this a bad idea? The family thinks it is and I do try to listen to them.

Good luck and take it easy. I remember the first few days, the car accelerates faster than you can think and you just hold on... Watch the speed cameras as the speed limit arrives very very quickly.

Details are 2002 996 manual turbo with 14k miles (yes really!). Non x50 but franky quick enough. Black with black.
Will be used most days, although the bike will see some if the sun shines
Absolutely lovely, supplied by Northway, Ray and team did an excellent job and the guys at John Kleis sorted me a decent Sat Nav fix.

Drives very nicely, though rain, new rubber and some common sense (rare) kept my leaden foot light...
Lovely to get back into a 911!!!!!!

When I picked up my 993 today in the dealer there was a 928 for sale from 1983 with 10k original miles on it !

Wow stunning! I bought a 23K mile 996tt a few months ago so you are making me feel that my car is a little leggy. Remember it's 14K miles including wheel spin so in reality it'll be closer to 10K :-)

I'm looking forward to putting miles on her..in a year or 2 the mileage won't be so rare!

Trouble is going to be avoiding the temptation to mod! The car (except the stereo which I've kept) is all original, has an interesting previous owner, and as said above really lovely! Just got to remember original is good...

Hoping to source some cheap winter wheels and tyres to keep the originals looking lovely..will have to do some research there..maybe a window tint as well.........

The car had a nice valet at Northway but I reckon my local valeter Simon will get a visit ahead of the winter!
