That was me - my first 'spot'. biggrin

On my way to work in Oakham.

I had the roof on, as it saves time when I get to work and have to leave the car in the car park. Also had my daughter with me, and it keeps her hair in better shape for the rest of the day. Roof off for the drive home, unless the rain gets here early.

Spotted again.

Ashamed to say I was in the Jag again. (I will flash you next time so if you see a nutter in a gray XF flashing and waving - its me)

I considered the Chim this morning and then the dog got in the ay and made me late so no time to faff getting it out of the garage.

Tomorrow is another day!

I did look out for a Jag and a waving driver, just in case, but did not spot any.

I d not take the TVR every day, but if the weather is nice I can hear it calling me from the garage as I go to get in the CMAX on the drive. I also aim to try and give it a run to work once a week over the winter if the weather is not too bad.

If I'm in the TVR its a grey one. If I'm in the XF, its a grey one and you may very occasionally see me ina 1970 Rover P5B. You'll know if its me coz... its a grey one! hehe

Basically just wave at all of the grey cars you see around Queniborough and it will probably be me!

I live in the Uppingham, i.e. "the other town in Rutland"! If ever you fancy meeting up for a drive after work let me know wink

And strangely I also own a C-Max as well as the S

wavey Hi Ian! Long time no see!

Have you fitted a fridge in the S yet like I had in the Chim. I'm sure you'll remember the Oakham canival?

If you chaps fancy meeting up the Rover P5 National is at Deene Park near Corby a week on Sunday and is open to all classics - Since I'm organising it I can decide what's a classic (All TVRs as far as I'm concerned).

£8 a car - come on over - Sunday 8th - Already got 100 cars booked in.

Might be up for this. Do we (s3) need to book or do we just turn up on the day?

Helpful to book so we know numbers but you can turn up on the day.

Would be lovely to see a line of TVRs, especially S models.

HI all, Can you put me down as a possible for Deene Park please?
I say possible as my S2 is still sitting on Axle stands due to
1. Outrigger repairs (N/S inboard)
2. Replaced chassis tube that runs under the sump between main chassis spars
3. Shimmed engine mounts
4. Removed propshaft to inspect as thought a UJ was tired but all seemed ok so had it ballanced.
5. Replaced the gearbox mount last night with a genuine Ford replacement

I just need to treat all the new steel work, re fit the exhaust, adjust the bonnet and then a good clean!

I'm doing my best to keep her on the road even though she is looking a bit tired now.

Your all welcome and we'll be glad to see you if you can make it.

Its surprising how many P5 owners have, had or want a TVR so they'll love them.

My P5 is used regularly so far from immaculate although some of the cars that will be there will be better than new. The attention to detail is amazing.

Hi Alan. I recognised the user name but hadn't made the connection! Yes, I remember Oakham. HOW long ago was it...?!! Do you remember that 2 days before we were due to go my steering rack fell apart yikes Lucky for me that "someone" gave me a lift in their Chimaera hehe

Hope you and that lovely Rover are well?

I'm busy next w/end, hope your event goes well smile

Cheers,
L'rs

For Summer 2013 the House and Gardens are open

Easter Sunday and Monday
Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays from May until the end of August
Wednesdays in May and Sunday 1st September

2-5 p.m. Last admission 4 p.m

Was hoping if I get my car ready at least after the journey my Girlfriend and I could look around the house but it would seem only the grounds are open.

I think Kelly (Northants) mainly uses Face Book as opposed to the forums.
