I'm looking for a roof rack for a RRC, will a disco 1 or series roof rack fit? I've already seen from a bit of research than a defender rack won't fit!

Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure but bear in mind that a Disco has a stepped roof-line.

Hoping that should mean there is plenty of clearance underneath, I'm looking for a gutter mounted rack so I'm mostly interested in whether the gutter widths are the same on both cars.

Pass...

Another question you need to be asking yourself though is: Do you really need a roof rack, especially a full length one?

The reason why I mention that is coz the roof & gutters are still ally and are not very strong. Depending on the revision of the manual, it'll say that the max load will be anywhere from 75kg-150kg. The roof rack will be most of that!

I don't need a roof rack, but I do need at least roof bars, and there are some roof racks around for a similar cost to roof bars. All I'll have on the roof is things like fence panels, or maybe strap storage boxes to it, nothing that will be be too heavy.

It's not going to be stacked high with spare wheels, sand ladders and fuel!

Seem to recall the Disco is narrower than a RR, wider than a Defender.

Starting to sway towards roof bars, and they don't seem too expensive to buy new, will hunt around for a bargain but might buy new.
