Idrive Brake Pad Life remaining...
Discussion
Hello Chaps,
It seems that my Idrive front brake pad remaining life has taken a sudden drop.
My car (E63 M6) was in for a brake fluid change last week and I'm not sure if it's coincidence or not but the brake pad life seemed to drop around the same time. It was around 8000 miles a week or two ago and now shows approx 1500 miles.
Are the BMW technicians able to change the remaining life figure based on a visual inspection? Or is this likely to just be a coincidence?
Thanks,
Stu

its very unreliable and relates to driving time and brake time, Personally I pay no attention to it.. The real indicator for this is the brake warning light on the dash, then you've got 20miles max.It seems that my Idrive front brake pad remaining life has taken a sudden drop.
