front hub nut question

Hi, I have a little play in my RH front wheel bearing and want to attempt tighten the hub nut a litle as bearing is still smooth and quiet. Is it correct I need a 41mm socket? Also, is the nut on RH side hub a lh thread ( tighten anti-clockwise ) ? It's a yellow nylock nut. Is there usually enough space to get a socket on the nut in place?
