Just bought a pump for £40 at the lbs,nice thing but at 4.99 i couldve had 8 aldi ones!

Not sure about the Aldi/Lidl pumps but I have bought cheaper track pumps and they are a false economy. Trying to get over 100 psi is bloody hard, especially as some have plastic barrels. The gauges are crap too.

Might pop down and get some bib tights and long sleeve top and gloves.

As an aside the oem tyres on my roadbike are michelins that dont have a max psi marking,ive been outting 100psi in is this about right?
Quite fancy some spoke reflectors on the commuter hybrid for the winter months.

Don't bother with the aldi lights. There's a few threads on MTB lights and cree torches, they blow everything else anywhere near the price out of the water IMHO.
I'm genuinely shocked at how bright mine are....

oh yes. Just search EBay or DealExtreme for Cree T6 or SSC P7 (Cree and SSC are the LED manufacturers) - both ~1000 lumen and you'll get the full lamp, battery, charger, bar and helmet mount kit for ~£25.

Brain freeze lol. I normally consider aldi / lidl to be interchangeable and the only lidl near me is next door to aldi :-)

Comment on the lights stands though considering how little you can get truly good ones for tbh. Pun intended but the difference is night and day :-)

Also going to give the socks a go, although my Altura ones are going to be hard to beat.

Popped in this morning on my way to work.

Got some gloves, bib tights, long sleeve top, cycling jacket, and spoke reflectors. £40. Bargain. Cost less than my LG cycling top I bought from Evans recently.

The pump looked ok, better than the plastic ste one I bought from Halfrauds at more than twice that price.

I popped in this morning and got some of the leg/arm warmers. Not the best fit in the world but should do for now.

Also got some of the socks, but haven't tried them on yet.

There was loads of pumps but not a lot of anything else, and none of the storage racks which I actually went in for.

Not incredibly impressed.
They have literally nothing in small. Grabbed some overshoes and arm / leg warmers, those are small - medium so we will see if they fit.

The shorts and bib tights looked OK for cheapies but none in my size. Same deal with jackets and jersies

The pumps look (emphasis on look) nicer than the recent aldi ones, the backpacks aren't great.

There's a very cheap saddlebag with (likely) disposable tools for four quid and some wheel reflectors.

Very limited stock at least in aylesbury

Plenty of stock in the Warwick/Leamington store on the Myton Road; nothing I wanted, really. I was after a workstand and toolkit. Did get another saddlebag toolkit (worth £3.99 for the saddlebag; the toolkit is a bit heavy but usable) having bought one a year or so ago for my other bike. And a pair of socks.
