Why not buy the car enjoy the trip down, enjoy the race and everything and then enjoy the trip back, it is what real Le Mans fans do, deliberately wrecking a car and putting your and other peoples lives at risk is not clever.

By all means buy your communal car for the trip. Fill it with two or three mates, tent and gazebo, bbq. And come and enjoy the best weekend that I know of. When you get there you will see that there is so much more to the real Le Mans experience and the enthusiasts that go there than a pointless burnout.

Hoping to have a more interesting car for the next Le mans, and on mad friday i will be sat by a fire, slightly tipsy and not tearing up and down a street filled with drunks.

And if we are talking "doing mad friday"? A 530 manual, people will be wanting you to get your shed out of the way so they can see the more interesting stuff that will be floating about.
