Hmmm don't think it's supposed to be like this. Looking for a water leak in the passenger footwell and found this nice crispy patch. Looking the heat shielding in the engine bay and similar patch. Although no signs on the exhaust wrap. Stripped out the crispy sruff and replacing with Kevlar. In fact two layers. Plus replace the carpet insulation once I know it's all safe. Will try to determine the temp around the area before replacing the carpet.

Mine went like that as engine had been slightly misaligned. Brendan king of fiberglass fixed mine.

Yeah seems that the passenger side manifold is slightly closer to the body than the drivers. Might see if I can move it over whilst I have it like I do. Easy enough on the mounts.
