I've just ordered one of these little beauties.
I should get my grubby mitts on it March 1st.

Looks mean! I've got a 1995 model and I'd definately get one if I had the cash. Looks really mean with the cut off arse end.

What colour was it? Mine is Fireball orange and I've never seen another the same, I've seen a few black one though. Pain in the arse to get spare plastics for though....

Mine was black.
I have seen a few black ones around but the Orange and Yellow are very rare these days.

Awesome! How do you hang on to that at 140mph?

With GREAT difficulty. Actually up to 100mph it isn't too bad on a naked bike. The wind blast takes a bit of the pressure off your wrists. You do have to be careful when you get onto a faired bike though.... I thought I was doing 120 ish on my mates GSX-R 600 and I was actually doing 150 but because there is no wind blast it doesn't feel like it.

This would have been my choice if I wasn't planning any huge distance stuff.
Personally I think it's the best looking bike out there (after the new sprint)

I was going to put in an order for the ST1050, but its Insurance group 16 !! The same as a blackbird !

I believe the only things to remain on the triple is the footpegs and rear disc from the preious design.

Insurance groups are a little misleading, even if its the same group, it could still cost less.

Great looking machine... was very tempted, but I just had to get the duke, it was one of those "i have to have owned" bikes on my list.

I'm told I should get mine within the next 2 weeks.
Time for the weather to warm up a bit.
