WTD: C++ developer, UI designer

Bit of a long shot, but I notice that there are a fair few software devs on PH so thought I'd give it a try!
I'm in the process of setting up a small technical team at Brainomix, a well-funded medical imaging start-up in Oxford. We need a C++ developer (or indeed any excellent developer who has some C++ experience) and a UI designer/developer.
The C++ developer position is a permanent role, salary up to about £40k for the right candidate, and in addition to this you'd be working in a great start-up environment. No prior medical imaging experience needed, although image processing, machine learning or computer vision skills would be a bonus. The UI designer/developer role is not yet advertised but will be a 12-month contract. Desktop software design experience is essential, and C++ coding will be involved in this role as well (although I'd be open to a different choice of programming language for the UI code, if you could make a good case for it!). You would take responsibility for the look and feel of our desktop software product, and work with the C++ developer to integrate with the core algorithms.
