Speed camera on Strathblane Road?

Hi, does anyone know the whereabouts of the speed camera on Strathblane Road, and if it's operational at all??

The GF just called to say she was flashed by it this evening. I think it's just next to Esporta Gym??

Its situated just before the entrance heading into town.

Yup. Between the entrance to the Reservoir and Esporta. It's been there for years....

Yes it is operational. I have advised people about being caught by it. Some are not 24/7/365. Depends on a lot of factors.

That one gets blown up every so often I seem to remember. Must be due to be done again soon I'm sure.

On a side note, are they still using film cameras in these or have they gone digital?

It's also worth noting that recently Traffic Police have taken to hiding behind bushes and jumping out with speed guns on roads in that area. Auchenhowie road, quite close to that Camera is a known spot, still in the 30 zone leaving Milngavie. Another known hangout for them is on Stockiemuir road past the Ski Club just after a big dip in the road coming up to the roundabout with the petrol station. Heading towards the petrol station they tend to hang about near the laybys.
