Finally . . . got my 997.1 GT3 RS

Gents, as of last Thursday I am back in Porsche territory - and on PH. Having sold my much beloved white 3.2 last April when we left the UK, I have been traveling and without a (real) car until last week. Now I have just gotten the 997.1 GT3 RS I have been lusting after since I briefly sat in 911Thrasher's last year.
Had recently test driven some other cars, including red ones and racing green ones from near Hethel, as well as the 997.2 GT3, the 997.2 GT3 RS and the new 991 Carrera S with manual, but out of all I very much preferred this one - to the point where I could tell some 50 meters into the test drive that this was it. The car was delivered in Switzerland, one owner, 11'000km, OPC serviced, top condition.
My wonderful wife then conspired with the dealer and got it for me as a (semi-)surprise gift before the weekend...(Silvia, if you read this: you are wonderful!!). Moments of pure motoring bliss followed!!
Had a first drive across the lower end of the alps (Riedbergpass) from Zurich to Bavaria on the weekend and was great. Very compliant and (almost) quiet on those motorways (Swiss and German ones), wonderful on the bendy roads in the mountains, fantastic acceleration. Will report back once I have driven a bit more.
Here some pics. (BTW the number plate is a pure coincidence - not some 'private plate' thingy...)

That is very true indeed! Funny, some six years ago I asked around on here what would be the right next Porsche after the Carrera 3.2 as I loved the directness, the sound and feel of the older car - but wanted a bit more power and something slightly more modern. And the GT3 RS does indeed feel more like the 3.2 - in spirit, rather than performance - than the 991S. Purely personal impression and my preferences, obviously, not an absolute statement.
Even my (wonderful!!) wife thinks so - and she loves the bucket seats, too!

I don't think I can remember a silver/orange RS in the UK, although I did see an OPC had the silver/black one. Orange is better IMHO.
Green is the hot colour right now though. Hardly any around and all at a premium

RS has to have a bit of shock value in its colours, thats the essence of them I reckon.

For sure, when I heard they were going to do one in green I actually turned my nose up and thought that anyone that bought one in that colour would be committing financial suicide !RS has to have a bit of shock value in its colours, thats the essence of them I reckon.
