19" Slicks

Hey

Has anyone here ever run 19" slicks at a trackday? If so where were you able to obtain them? Having a hard time finding 19" slicks, Avon seem to be the only company that supply them.

And no I cannot go down to 18" before you suggest it, my brakes are too big

I'm pretty sure Michelin do 19" for some of the Porsche supercup/RSR variants....don't imagine they will be cheap though

I'm already forking out big for Toyo 888's on 19 as it is, might as well bite the bullet and go for slicks.

19s are available but bloody expensive

What car they going on that runs discs that big

You can quite easily get 386mm discs under a 18 rim, not sure what car would need to run bigger than that.

That's a small 386 or a big 18 in that case, I can't run 18's on my 380's as the brakes get hot and then rub against the wheels, I've tried numerous wheels. I don't WANT to be on 19's but a set of 19 tyres is cheaper than going through about 4 sets of wheels trying to find a set that fits.

6 Pot calipers
380mm x 35mm fully floating race grooved discs

It can depend on the clearence on the wheels, also HI spec calipers seem a little more 'bulky' than AP's, also depends if they are lug mount or radial.

We had a set of wheels that fouled our calipers, it was the design of the wheel, Oz and co promotion allow more room,(have less of a lip inside?
