When looking to buy a car, would anybody have a inspection carried out by say...... P Morgan if you were purchasing from...... JZM ,RJS, V911 etc or are the cars good to go from this type of place ?

Depends on how confident you are in the garage.
All the names you quote are well known and i'm sure if unfortunately something untoward was to happen it would be sorted.
I personally haven't had any cars inspected and have relied purely on word of mouth if the car is known and on my own judgement of the car in question. I am pretty thorough and know what to look for.
The bottom line is they are just cars so you do the same checks as you would with any car.
A reputable inspector will check paint depths and such like but most 911's of a certain age will have had some paint and you can tell if there has been accident damage. The other part of an inspection is rev ranges on the newer stuff, but we don't need to open that can of worms as its been done to death on here.

I didn't when I bought from Northway, made my decision on the fact of background reputation & my dealing with Ray, he seemed totally honest & would stand by the car. However guess I never had to find out as the car was written off 4 months after I bought it!
