Hi All

Just wanted to share that I highly recommend the AM PDC for anyone who wants to know what their car is capable of. For those of you who don't know about the PDC, basically AM send you to Millbrook and provide you with an instructor and a car of your choice for the day. You spend most of the day driving with the instructor sat next to you whilst you tackle the straight mile, the skid pan, the handling course, the two mile bowl and the alpine course. (There are other courses as well but these were my fav)

My instructor today was Austen and he was fantastic. I left knowing just how far I can push my DB9.2. Really worth the price IMHO. Also met a nice bloke called Ray and his instructor was Nick.

Fabulous day.

Josh.
PS I got the car in the air on the Alpine course. Still smiling.

I've done something similar at Millbrook, which is where I learnt just what a capable car the Rapide is.

Hi

It's £1164 inc vat. It's a lot I know but given how much driving you do in the day and the unending depth of knowledge of the instructors I felt it was worth it.

Best regards

I would rather do a Palmer Sport day at that price level, that is a lot of money.

You can do a day at Millbrook with Cadence for a lot less than that. Better though is half a day on road and half a day at Millbrook.

I have been looking at this recently and am on the verge of booking it up. Met Austen @ Silverstone last week, great instructor for the short time i was in the car with him, can imagine a whole day being instructed really improves your skills.

I did a one-on-one day in my own car there with Bamford Rose as part of the handover process - to go from a wobbly early DB9 Volante with 446bhp to a stiffened, adjustable suspensioned, big braked 530bhp DB9 Volante required a bit of a demonstration and some new learning...

Passing a chap doing a factory PDC in a DBS, on the outside of the bowl at 165mph was highly amusing biglaugh

Did you use your own car?

Yes, did it in my M3 CSL a few years ago. I'd happily do it in my V12V. It could not be worse than what I subject it to on North Yorkshire moor roads.

I should add that those of you buying a new car should negotiate the PDC as part of the deal. Even better value then! smile

Lots of courses out there. I've been on the PDC twice. Once up using my own money and once FOC from the dealer. Given that I don't want to use my own car but do want to drive a model identical to my own then I would happily pay again.

Best regards

Josh
