Hello,

I have a small pub in Beeston Norfolk. I have had a few brood chefs, but since my last chef left I have been considering renting the kitchen out.

Does anyone have any experience of this type of enterprise or any advice, pro's and con's.

Thanks for your feedback.

What are the commercials? If you let it, would you make more money than you would if you had a chef and ran it yourself?

No idea on the financials but these guys seem to be making a good go at renting pub kitchens and selling lovely smoked foods https://www.facebook.com/smoakfood

Watch out for possible VAT issues.

Disaggregation is one thing the VAT is keen to stop and it is often something that crops up when pubs split their bar and restaurant functions.

It is also an issue if the pub is using the VAT Flat Rate VAT scheme.
