In a Classic, once you have two sensible baby seats in the back, is there still room for a normal adult in the centre?

Assume later classic seating with the side armrests.

Depends on the 'girth' of the adult... Bear in mind that there is only a lap belt there too.

I use Recaros as they are the smallest seat on the market, not at all wide in comparison to some.

The lap belt would not, per se, be an issue as the car will have a cage and I can specify a cross member across the rear of the seats to allow the mounting of a real seat belt for the centre. This would also mean the two child seats could be placed together leaving an adult space at one end which may create a larger space?

Obviously, a dickie seat in the boot is one solution but what I really need to achieve is an easy 5 seater so that I can use the car on travels where a nanny is in tow.

DA you've answered your own question here. You might treat her to a cushion in the trailer but otherwise they're just staff wink

Sorry no idea to your actual question. I've had 2 adults and a baby seat across my LSE with no problems.
I have no actual experience of baby seats but just looking at the seat I'd say a normal sized person should fit between.

I can't put her in with the Mother in Law. There are human rights laws against that. . smile
