Well what a day, went to work this morning as per usual and found myself on the Porsche website as per usual and discovered a nice looking white 2010 997 GT3 for sale at OPC Leicester. I had been considering a GT3 for a while but since placing my deposit for 991 GT3 my view on purchasing a 997 version had been pushed to the back of my mind.
However, this morning the car devil in my head started telling me to e-mail Tom at OPC Leicester which I did, well I had no choice the car devil must be obeyed!!
So I arranged to go and have a look at the car this afternoon, and as soon as I saw it in the flesh I thought f&*k it you only live once, so agreed a deal there and then shook hands and said to Tom right I'll sort my insurance and I'll take it today, I swear he thought I was joking LOL!
So I now have the following 997 GT3 sat in my garage, only done about 30 miles and am still in the getting to know you stage of the relationship, first impressions summed up in one word "physical" and I have to admit I rather like it

Specification is minimal it has the sports bucket seats which was my only want, and a few other bits like nav, phone prep, no club sport, standard brakes I didn't want PCCB's on a three year plus old car. To be honest it has everything in it I need to enjoy it
Yeh this makes a different noise to the Scud but a very nice noise if not quite so in your face LOL!

Car looks stunning! Looks like all its missing is some race numbers and sponsor stickers Yeah great buy and as impulsive as me. Popped into JZM last month for a cuppa and say hello and left with a 993 turbo!
Enjoy, truly wonderful car when you get to stretch it's legs. Just get up early when everyone else is sleeping and claim the roads!
I'm in Poland with my 997 GT3 Gen 2 and leaving today to drive back to UK.
