Nothing to do with a wedge or even atvr, but i've gone and bought an Audi tt 225 quattro soft top.
Now i need some tips to talk the wife into letting me keep both the wedge and tt. Not told her yet, pick it up on saturday.

I've had a TT for the last 3 years..
I came to renew my car.... I wasn't allowed another TT, "it's too hard" she said..first time she's complains about that!ha ha. wink

To be fair, I was doing 25k per year.. So it was a bit bumpy i suppose
So settled on a Msport 1 seres convertible,
Lovely car........miss my TT thoughfrown

But yeah "give" her the TT

I just bought Carol a 320d Edition M Sport for being so understanding with the money I have been spending on the wedge. I spent time telling her it is much lower to the ground than the old Beemer with the M Sport suspension. Take it easy on speed humps and don't park to close to Kerbs and what have you... Guess what ......Ripped the pan off the underside tonight....AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Right that's it I am getting the wedge resprayed also!!!

When I got my Aston Martin, my wife and girls told me that I definitely could not sell my TVR. After 28 years it was too much a part of me to let go. My response? OK! It is tough to decide which car to take sometimes. The TVR for short spirited blasts, the Aston for longer comfortable romps. I am so lucky!

Your post appears to have disappeared must be a southern thing...

Precision engineering, superb build quality, outstanding reliability, awesome performance - and you've substituted it all for an Audi TT..... redcard
I can't really see you in that Marcus - give to the good lady and maintain your credibility...biglaugh

Funny that.. I few days I hadn't heard of em,
I follow a chap on Instagram that's got about 4 TVRs
One being a fantastic SEAC...he mentioned them to me the other day.
Supposed to be a cracking outfit! From what he said, your car will be in safe hands!

Yeah a few people had told me they where at the top of there game so I went with them Rik. Craig & Ian have been spot on and keep me up to date with what is going on. Hopefully it should handle like Marcus's new TT when I get it back.

The 280I isn't up for sale (yet), spent too much time and money on it to get it to a presentable state, so want to enjoy it for a while yet. I had been intending to sell it and upgrade to v8 350 or 400 next spring, so might sell then, or a bit earlier.
An Aston Martin would be nice as a second car though! I've put the wife on the insurance and think that it could be a "gift" (of sorts). Pick it up on Sat morning.
Not sure how the handling will compare to a sooped up wedge tho Rob, I'll probably ram a tree on my first excursion!

Well, the wife seems quite happy with her "present".
Compared to the tvr, its quiet. nondescript. very very enjoyable but its not a tvr.

Nice one Marcus. Hope your wife is pleased with her pressie. We where out today and I told Carol to open the Beemer up as we hit the motorway from the slip road. I have to say and always have said our lass knows how to drive, she whipped it through the gears and had it at 70ish (cough) in no time, shame she won't drive the wedge.
