Speedo over reading ???

I have a 2002 R300 Superlight.

The speedo in my car over-reads by approx. 10 mph throughout the speed range.

Can it be adjusted or recalibrated? I have 13" wheels with Avon CR500 175/55 fronts and 205/55 rears.

Could it be the speedo is calibrated for 15" wheels possibly?

Remove the speedo. There's a rubber grommet on the back which covers the calibration settings. That said, if it's out by 10mph all the way round the speedo, it's fooked and you'll need a new one.

Well, that's what happened to my 03 R300.

If you can't sort your speedo, fit a bicycle speedo, then calibrate it and setup for all different wheel sizes, you will then know your exact speed.
