Wouldn't pay more than £20k being a v8 model. Looks rotten on the floors.

Nothing wrong with that, provided you get it set up correctly.

i have to say the "found in a barn" thing always cracks me up. the need to even photograph it against a barn as though that somehow enhances the value.
at bonhams now we cant have an auction without some old crapper being wheeled out complete with straw and pigs still in it.
if a car was stored in a dehumidified incubator it would be "oh no i am not buying that in case the rubbers have gone hard" but if left to rot in a barn for 20 years people are clambering to buy it and at bonhams they pay RIDICULOUS money.
it is like some "lost treasure mania"
me no get

I went to buy a blue one at a factory auction in newport pagnell about 10 years ago, I thought it would go for 7-8k then, but it went for 17k from memory, so for this one who knows - I wouldn't pay more than 11-12k

If you really like these - just go to a heritage dealer and buy one in a reasonable condition.

Even then, you're always going to be blessed with gearbox, clutch, engine, break and chassis repairs of a sizable magnitude but at least the initial cheque will be closed.

Go and buy a snotter like this, and your going to make the owner of the restoration company very happy with an effective open cheque to get it correct and sorted.

I'd spend the money on a barn. If you left the door open, you never know, somebody might park a car in there and forget about it? smile
