Well I was quickly becoming bored of only having a Modern car on the road.
So I bought something to somewhat raise the average age of my fleet.

Everything as it left the factory except for the CD player.
It drives very well and doesn't feel it's age at all, needs a bit of paint and general tlc but it gives me something to do!

Lovely Choice!
Good period colours as well.
Make sure you get on the PCGB forum, you don't need to be a PCGB member, the guys on there are a great support and saved me a fortune when running my 944 through helping to diagnose issues and suggesting simple/easy fixes
My Mum bought an ex-demonstrator 924 Lux in 1981 (VUT 682X), she paid £10k for it when the list price was about £11k and it had over £1k of extras, the base 924 was £10k list at the time and the Capri 2.8 and Audi GT were just over £8k. She kept it for over 8 years and sold it for £4,500 in 1990, so great residuals!
Good luck with it

All serviced and ready to go for winter.
Got 4 Vredstein Sportrac 5's and fit them last month, gave it a major service, all belts, filters, coolant, gearbox oil change, removed the 29 year old alarm and fit a modern one with immobiliser, sorted the battery drain out on it, and new front discs and pads.
It really drives well now, think I need some HT Leads as I have a misfire when cold, ignition timing is set correctly and the cap and arm are new, all the plugs are new so fingers crossed will just be the leads, waiting for them to come on offer!
Apart from that its cost fuel and that's it, drives superbly for it's age, no knock or bangs and is very well damped, really inspires confidence on b roads and you can really push.

Done over 2000 miles now since purchase, MOT next week and then tax due at end of Jan.
Can't believe I've had it 6 Months already, doesn't get used that much as I have a Bravo T Jet for day to day.
Replaced the tailgate seal when I pre MOT'd it so no more fumes in cabin and no more condensation.
Really enjoy driving it

MOT Passed
Treating it to some greenstuff pads, new brake fluid and new shoes in the next week as the brakes don't feel as good as they could, they stop the car reasonably but I feel like they could do with a bit more power some times.
Then it needs a bit of a paint touch up here and there before it's wedding car duties for my wedding in August and ideally the seats restitching.
Amazed how much fun I'm still having in it, normally bored and looking for a change by now but it's so good at everything, be it nipping to the shops, having a quick b road blast or taking us across the country in comfort.
After the wedding I want a full respray in the original colour, and the front bumpers black bumps smoothing and colour coding, aerial removing from the roof and a proper old electric one on the rear quarter installing and a full New sticker set.
The paint isn't that bad now and shines well enough I'd just like it to be 100%.
Only thing I'd worry about is being scared to use it if it's like new in case it gets bumped or car park dinged whereas now I don't mind leaving it anywhere and am quite happy to use it in all weathers.
Dilemma!
