FWIW the above car at Brooklands auction this weekend didnt sell at 27k. A very tatty yellow non original engine car made 30ish. Two 3.2 backdates didnt get any higher bids that 19k

A guide of £24-26k and didn't sell at £27k - I can only assume the reserve was higher and there were probably no actual bids (apart from the wall and fire extinguisher ).
