Hi there

My wife and I have owned a December 1997 4.0 Chim from nearly new for the last 14 years or so and, believe it or not, after all that time and 50,000 miles, I have only now suffered my first two minor gremlins!

The indicators starting "fizzing" instead of "clicking" and have finally stopped working altogether (along with hazards)

Fuse is ok so presume it's the relay. My regular mechanic who does all my stuff (including replacing my TurboR's head gasket last year!) can't find details on what Relay unit it is. I presume it'll be some Ford part.

Any ideas?

The other gremlin is the wash wipe motor which has packed up.

When my wife and I bought this car, we thought it would be a heap of trouble, but we were in love (with the car that is) and just had to have it.

I can't believe it's been so reliable.

Must be blessed....

Any advice gratefully received

Sorted it by calling TVR Power in Coventry...

Relay arrives in a few days.

The windscreen washer pump is a a refurbished unit so I have to send them my knackered one.smile
