used 4.3 for sale any good?

Hi All,
so what am I looking at here? States a 4.3 in the advert but it has an engine photo stating 4.5

Anyone know this car?

It's registered as a 4.3 (4280cc) if that helps...

It's not a Serp engine so can't be a 450.

Probably just a plenum change but worth asking.

I've just bought a beautiful 430BV these really are rare,for some reason IMO the early 93,94 cars don't feel so heavy with no PAS Ive had later 96,97 cars with no power which are almost undriveable,perhaps the Geometry or racks were changed?

Not really Daz. I had two without & enjoyed them. (In fact persuaded Peter Wheeler to make one without when it became standard, and knock off the £980 they'd added to the price. )

I drove V8Bobs a while back ,it nearly pulled my arms off. Once I got up to speed it was fine ..

That's a genuine 4.3 deffo. Bin for sale for a year or two. Bit over priced I think. Looks a cracker though.

Hmmm, a TVR or any car for that matter sitting around for a year or 2 can only mean trouble, pass (PAS) as the others suggested...

Sounds as though the only acceptable car to buy here where no one has a great opinion has to be a 97 onwards 450/500 with PAS... I buy all my cars as potential keepers, then of course I get bored and sell them on completely sorted.

If it's a 97 onward car, make sure the chassis is good.

There are 450BV's that are pre serp - only Griffs though.

I manage fine without power steering, and it keeps the wife away from the drivers seat, double plus....
