Not wanting to wish my life away but it cant come quick enough for me hope its abit more in depth than some of the Tvr stuff covered lately .
I agree, the issue several months ago regarding the Griff was a very brief over view lets hope for a bit more of an in depth feature.Yeah. To be fair, when I posted this I only just flipped through to see how much content there was, which looked fairly promising. Upon reading, I agree that there's not much about the modern day Griff that people don't already know.
However, it's refreshing to see an article with absolutely no mention of reliability issues and rightly so. About time somebody saw the cars for what they are and I think they did well in that respect.
Would love somebody to do a proper road test on the current Griff, perhaps even a Chris Harris video.

I was really looking forward to this too and to be honest I was very disappointed.
The theme of the article was supposed to be about inspiration for the new TVR road cars but they selected a race-prepped and heavily modified early Griff which sounds like it was a right handful and not reflective of the road cars. Then the article bacame just the same old history lesson we've all heard so many times. In the end, the actual driving of the modern Griff barely gets any space.
I'd expect better from John Simister who has done much better work. It was all pretty weak journalism and failed to evoke any of the car's personality. He also managed a couple of the standard hack parts-bin swipes which I don't see have any relevance to the things that are important about cars. I wish the job had gone to Richard Meaden.

Have read the article this morning and I pretty much agree with caveblokes comments above. A good opportunity missed, a mediocre writeup with little on the handling and general driving. Also agree that Richard Meaden would have made a better job. Perhaps the sister mag EVO should have run the article, at least there are a team of drivers there! Come on Octane I would of thought better of you! Perhaps we should email in our thoughts.
