Hi
I have a 1998 model 4.5 Chimaera.
When I drive it at high speeds, the front end feels very light, as if the wind is trying to lift it of the track/tarmac.

Can anyone sugest if there are any bolt-on mods ie,front spliters etc that may improve downforce. Or could there be another problem with the suspension etc?

Many thanks

Check that you have not got after market adjustable dampers on which may have been wrongly set up.
The problem you mention can be caused by the car's attitude being higher at the front than back. Measure from the chassis behind the front wheel for the front and the chassis in front of the rear wheel for the rear.(Where the grit collects)

I'd check your suspension set up if I was you. Have lapped CERAM consistently at 160 mph, 4 feet from the concrete wall & have never noticed any lightness whatsoever at front end as you describe.

Check your front splitter's not come off. Mine did and the front felt really light at anything over the ton! Proper service restored with a new splitter.
