Spotted at Paul Stephens, can they sell for this much, if so might start looking around to sell mine on???? Or should I wait a few years, as I really love mine.

Phew, I guess at 60k they are hoping for a serious collector with means. Cant blame them I suppose.

I suppose there cant be many with this mileage and condition (Assumed).

Funnily enough talking about this with the owner of a 993 C4S whilst at OPC Bournemouth this very morning. His had 57k miles on it. But surely this is way too optimistic for a UK market isn't it?

As we were talking the OPC chap wistfully sighed.... 'now those are proper cars' !

Just coming up to 21k on mine, surely there are a few low milers like mine and this one? I am happy for PS to take mine, only joking!!! Seems they are creeping up a little this year, there was an article on the C4S in 911 pW a few months ago, they were dubbed "the king of Porsche" at the factory according to my very large 993 book!!!

Presumably the mileage is so low because its so fking boring to actually drive - the white good of the 911 range in my view.

So much more fun than any newer model, utterly classic drive, not too fast but unspinnable in most conditions and loves country roads....not track focused but easy to upgrade...

I'd have to agree. It's a bit like coming across a gorgeous bird in a fur coat, peeling the thing off and finding a chasity belt with an unbreakable combination lock well and truly fitted.

Lovely car for some which is fair enough, but unfortunately/fortunately doesn't rock my boat.

I like the analogy but I'm struggling to think of the equivalent term for the car of asking said bird to get down on her knees... hehe

By "King of Porsche" surely they meant King Henry the 8th, that fat bd!
Lovely car, speculative price.

Silly money for a seriously over rated car.
Sorry you can get some serious Porsches for that sort of money and PS prices are now dafter than SCOM IMO.

Not more fun than a GT3 I can assure you as that's what followed mine. Even, a straight 996 C2 is a lot more fun IMHO.

And not unspinnable, at least not at North Weald but that did require big speeds and v. silly antics - a 90 left at 80mph should do it.

Seriously, a potentially great car - so well built and gorgeous to look at - but too heavy and so far too well planted. Great in the wet mind.

A lot of the optomistically priced cars are on sale or return at specialists. The specialists know they are unlikely to sell at these prices - and would never sink their own capital into stock they felt they couldn't price competitively. These vehicles are priced by owners who barely use them, and would only get rid for an over the odds offer from a buyer.

Or
1. 993c2 = fit, perfectly proportioned bird.

2. 993-4s = fit bird after a few too many takeaways.

Or indeed, a very fit non-varioram 993 C2 with the shorter final drive and thus very similar acceleration to the vario and wide-bodied cars, which (the narrow-body, that is) you should be able to acquire for £25K or less. Dare I say it, the narrow-body cars are also more fun to drive on normal British roads.

Rich who comes on uor euroip trips had a 993 C4 last year and this year his new 993 C2S. Itw as really interesting as he enjoyed his C2S so much more and drove it a fair bit faster as well saying it was much more confidence inspiring. Could have been down to all sorts of things of course but itw as interesting for the rest of us to see the progression. Also proof that the C2S is TOTALLY different from the C4S.

Agree with this although there are a few shorter final driver variorams around too, which in theory are the sweet spot.

I would love a C2S, whilst by any measure they are inferior to the narrow body, the looks outweigh it!

I don't think that they're much heavier either, whereas the C4S has the 4 wheel drive system and bigger brakes etc.
