A nice photo - opinions please

Hi,

I've been out snapping with my camera today and took one photograph that I thought looks quite nice.

I've been into photography for only a few months now so I profess to being an absolute beginner!

I don't get much time between work and family but my free time these days tends to be taken up by me clambering about rocks somewhere!

Anyway, some good honest opinions would be appreciated.



I've changed the hue / saturation a little in photoshop as the original was a little dark.

Technical term - bloody good effort mate!
Very pleasing to the eye
composition is spot on imho ( H=HUMBLE )
If i was being picky the cloud on the right seems to be missing something and the rock is slightly out of focus maybe but i would be very happy with that.

Just goes to show that you can break the rules of composition and still win. I'd crop a bit off the foreground, and the rock seems soft, but I'd say you definitely have an eye for it.

Show us the original, the clouds on the top left look slightly burnt out. Is this a result of manipulation?

I'd also crop the bottom slightly, measure the distance from the clouds to the top of frame to get an idea of how much.

I'll try cropping the image slightly to even things up a bit.

Here is the original image before I changed the hue / saturation.

Its a nice pic, but I thought the original looked a little dull.
