I have managed to smash one of my headlamps, so i need a new glass.

I went to Castles today, thanks Gary, and picked up a new one. Back home and i cant seem to figure out how to get the headlamp pod out. I have done a search but no real answers, any ideas?

I have the inspection panel off in the wheel bay and thats it!!!!

Doesn't the glass fit in from the front? I had a look at mine the other day, as I need to renew the reflectors.

It looked like if I removed the black seal around the rim, I could get the glass out that way.

Oh i wish!

Its just too big and has to go in from the back. I cant find any fixings behind and it cant just be bonded on, can it????

Yes I could do with the answer to this as well. I have a good look round mine and couldn't see any fixings, although the bottom right hand corner of my pod is loose.

Seems a shame to break the pod out to glue it in again.

Besides if its glued in what was the point of the putting the rubber surround as a sealer?

The pods are attached with four M6 bighead screws which are epoxyed on to the pod . Undo the four 10mm nuts and the pod should come off .Sometimes the nuts are covered in black dumdum so you can`t see them . Often , the epoxy shears of and the pods are re-attached with sealer .This can take some time and patience , good luck , David

Well this is what I was told. I have had my head in the wheel arch most of the afternoon now and cant see any screws, only the ones that adjust the beam.

Could it be that the earlier ones were sealed???
