Hi, I am currently doing the coolant re route on my MX5 SDV, and I need to get some hoses so that my pipe from the outlet at the back of the head can clear the air intake flexi as this is obstructing me from having a nice straight run down the side of the car. I did try using alloy pipe and a pipe bender to custom make pipework to suit but the bender is just crushing the pipe, so I'm now looking at alternatives.

Can anyone suggest somewhere online that supplies a range of elbows, straight hose lengths and dogleg type hoses? I'm not fussed about silicon, infact to keep costs sensible I would rather just have standard rubber.

I made custom pipes for my GTM Coupe using 22mm (I think) copper plumbing pipe and soldered fittings.

With a selection of 45 and 90 degree bends you can produce some complex shapes.

Like this?

I used original, but silicon mx5 hoses chopped up to fit with straight alloy tubes.

Yes very similar to that. I could just use 2 45's to make the dogleg, was just trying to find a neater solution if possible, what is that your building anyway?

Haha, I meant it would make my car look neater wink

Is your kit based on the mx5 as well then?

Merlin Motorsport are very good for making up alloy pipes, curves and beads just phone them up or email what you want. Maybe a flexible silicon tube? I've been using Viper Performance for that.

Very nice indeed - Did you solder olives on the pipes (as alternative to beading), and did you plate the pipes, or are they painted?
