Door locks - not working

just went to garage to take the car out and the doors wont unlock. I assume this means the battery has died, which is weird as i used the car 3 days ago after having wired in a new stereo.

I'm assuming that i've wired the radio in wrongly and that it has drained the battery somehow. Probably a trip to a car audio place required, but in the meantime the doors wont unlock using the alarm/key fob so, how do i open the car doors ? I understand that there are emergency door releases, but i have never found them.

Any help/ideas where to look most appreciated.
