Evening all.

I'm going to regret asking this.....but......how many of you have had the snip, and "how was it for you?"

I'm talking the recovery period and time off work.

I was back at work the next day, although moving a little slower and more carefully than usual.

My husband was back "in the sack" after three days.

Here is everything you need to know.

Despite my rather unusual and painful experience (details on the other thread - basically, they forgot the anaesthetic), I was working that afternoon...

Had about 2 weeks off. Started with Lord of the Rings special directors limited edition extra special box set. That took about a day and a half of laying on the sofa.

Recovery well deserved.

I would liken it to having a filling, not nice but bearable, I plowed the wife that night to make sure it worked and spent the following 4 days lay on the bed with a pillow between my knees.
I would encourage anyone to do it, very liberating.

Make sure the fellow in charge uses sufficient anaesthetic, the fellow I had didn`t and at the first cut I launched off the table like something from Cape Canaveral.

HTH.

Same here, although I just curled up involuntarily, which meant the surgeon ended up sticking the scissors back out through my scrotum.

'Ouch' was said rather loudly...

Felt a bit tender afterwards, a bit like the after effects of having been hit in the nuts. I wore briefs for a bit of support for the following 2 weeks. It was a bit strange talking to the doctor and nurse about holidays during the procedure !

Also, wear tight, supportive briefs for ages afterwards - it makes a BIG difference.

Had it.

No problems, didn't hurt.

Had it done on a Friday, back at work on a Monday.

The ops a piece of piss, but if you get asked "Do you mind if some observers watch while you have the procedure" give it some thought.

I was lay on my back and when I looked up it was like looking into the Stretford end on a match day.
The pulse machine was like an F1 rev counter and all because my missus made us late for our appointment cos 'SHE' was nervous.

Mrs Puggit drove me home and I was working straight away. Lying on our bed, working from home with a laptop hehe

I followed the doctor's orders strictly as it meant 3 days not running after the kids. The incision is tiny and is nothing to worry about.

Seriously, I had my sinuses done and that was more painful and I had longer off work.

I know you are afraid of nothing.

yes

Done under local anaesthetic. Back at work the next day. No pain to speak of. Don't know what they used as the anaesthetic, but it was amazing. They could have chopped off anything they wanted and I would not have cared.....

They make an incision about 5-7 mm each side, gently lift the tube out, cut & seal it and then put 1 or 2 stitches in to close the cut.

I've had more pain stubbing my toe.

Honestly.
