It is necessary to prime the fuel filter when replacing it or do you just let the fuel pump whirr up a few times (ignition on/off) before starting the engine?

Thanks,

No need to prime it, the pump will do it for you. The filter is on the output side of the pump.

When you turn the ignition on, it primes the fuel system. Sorted.

Thanks, I'm back working on my project Cerb and getting thoroughly fed up with scraping waxoyl and powder coat from the chassis so though I would get on with a few other jobs.
